My name's Khadija (kha - dee - jhha), but I know that sounds long and complicated to many people so Deeja or Kaddie's fine.
I'm Muslim (Sunni), American - Arabian (my mom's a convert, my dad's Egyptian) born in Buffalo, NY. I've always considered the U. S. my home and I think I always will. I don't really feel I belong anywhere else.
I graduated from high - school in the spring of 2006, and then worked as an ESL English teacher for a year and a half, teaching children ages 7 -12; I think teaching is my calling.
I'm currently an English major at UL in Lafayette, Louisiana.
A little about myself - I'm really sensitive (I cry about everything). Around people I don't know I get rather shy. I tease way too much and I think I sometimes hurt others' feelings without meaning to. I think I'm pretty creative; I can usually strike up an interesting conversation if I try. I'm almost always curious. I'm a very religious person and I have a strong sense of morality; and I'm ambitious and motivated. I also tend to be rather eccentric and unconventional in my opinions and the way I view the world.
I am extremely passionate about the things I believe in: first God, then religion, and then conservation, justice, and peace among many many others. I work towards an eminent goal in life: to help the world.
